  • General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE)
    English Language with a minium grade of C
  • Test of English as a Secondary Language (TOEFL)
    with a minium score of 550(Paper Based ) / 213 (Computer Based) (The institutial code of Temasek Polytechnics to receive the official TOEFL score is 8176)
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
    with a minium score of Band 6.0

Remarks

Meeting the minimum entry requirements is not a guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted or selected. Shortlisting / selection will depend on competition for limited course vacancies in the year of application.

Those offering GCE/GCSE/IGCSE qualifications will be assessed fully on this qualification and no entrance tests will apply. It cannot be used in combination with any other qualification for entrance test subject exemption.

SATI (minimum score: Critical Reading/Verbal 560, Math 600) and SATII (Physics / Chemistry minimum score: 600) can be offered in support of application. Original document must be submitted by the applicant.  Alternatively, the applicant can request College Board to send a copy directly to SP.

 

Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of S$150.00 (inclusive of 7% GST) is payable. 

Full Time Students
The course fees are payable in two (2) instalments. The 1st Semester fees are payable before enrolment and the second in the 2nd Semester (1st two weeks). The course fees consist of Tuition Fee and Other Fees.

Note:
i.   Male students will have to pay an additional amount for a SP Tie.
ii.  GHSI - Group Hospitalisation & Surgical Insurance is applicable to international students only. This amount is inclusive in the      miscellaneous fees.
iii.  Other Miscellaneous fees are payable once every calendar year.  Annual Administrative fees are payable once every year.
iv.  All fees and amount listed above are subject to changes every year.
v.  All fees listed above exclude 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST).
vi.  Tuition Grant students will have to sign a deed with the Singapore Government.  In return for the benefit of subsidised education, the students will be bonded to work in Singapore for three years upon completion of the course.  Two sureties who are above 21 years old and are of any nationality  are required for executing the deed.   The tuition grant amount is subject to revision by Ministry of Education.
vii.  Tuition Grant students who reject tuition grant or failed to sign the deed with the Singapore Government will have to pay the full fees and GST on the tuition grant amount.

 

REFUND POLICY

For Withdrawal received: Refund
Before the commencement of term in Semester 1 or 2
Full Tuition Fee less $500  Administrative Fee

Full Elementary English Proficiency Course Fee less $50 Administrative Fee*

Full Examination Fee, Sports and Miscellaneous Fee. 

No refund for all other fees paid.

Within the 1st week of Semester 1 or 2
75% of Tuition Fee

75% of Examination Fee, Sports and Miscellaneous Fee. 

No refund for all other fees paid.

After the 1st week of Semester 1 or 2
No refund or carrying forward of all fees paid


*Applies to students who are enrolled on a provisional basis.

Fees are payable for withdrawal after the start of the semester.

All property belonging to Singapore Polytechnic must be returned and all outstanding bills must be settled prior to the submission of the Application Form for Withdrawal from Course.
